FIRE and ICE

? I stumbled upon something yesterday…  Years ago I kept hearing the words, “Fire and Ice,” in my Spirit.

I never really knew the fullness of the meaning behind it, only to say it was something of which is to come.  At that time the Lord had given me this Scripture:

The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

Revelation 8:7

Then yesterday as I was actually studying something completely different, I discovered a poem by Robert Frost, titled FIRE and ICE.  It is amazing how it speaks to what we are on the precipice of, during these final moments in time.

FIRE and ICE

Some say the world will end in fire,

Some say in ice.

From what I’ve tasted of desire,

I hold with those who favor fire.

But if it had to perish twice,

I think I know enough of hate

To say that for destruction ice

Is also great

And would suffice.

By:  Robert Frost

He is speaking here not only of when an “Angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire…” But he also spoke about the coldness of heart of the inhabitants in World, evidenced by hate, one to another.

And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

Mathew 24:12

Sadly, we are seeing this coldness of heart increase more and more each day.  It is undeniable that evil is increasing all around us.  To me, “Love growing cold,” is the most terrifying Scripture in the whole Bible.  The Word tells us, “God is love,” so if  love is growing colder, then so is His influence upon the hearts of many, as they turn away from Him.  Only a remnant shall be saved.

A remnant of love…  Those who do truly know Him by walk, not simply by talk about Him.

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

1 John 3:18

So if evil is etching it’s way into our World in greater measure each day – then sadly, love Himself is diminishing in the lives of so many.  I can really relate to Robert Frost in this poem where he says, “I think I know enough of hate.”  Because I knew a long time ago, hate had touched me by the hands of another way too many times.  We have a choice to make when we are hurt by someone.  We can choose to forgive, release and bless them or we can choose an icy heart which rejects, seeks vengeance and repays.  The truth is, our love does not run cold because of what was done to us, it runs cold because of what we do to others in response to an offense…  Do we repay evil with evil, which is forbidden?  Or do we take the higher Heavenly Road in which no evil can persist, spreading love to thaw an icy heart of another?

I choose LIFE.?

I choose LOVE.?

What you choose spreads like wild fire.

We need to ask ourselves daily – How will we be remembered?

You are what you do…  Love?  Hate?  Your actions are how you will be remembered.   That’s a scary thought, isn’t it?  Surely, FIRE and ICE shall come, my prayer is that it not come through you or myself.

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

John 13:34-35
