Dear Angel,

May this letter bring encouragement and joy to your heart and mind!

I consider you a “balcony friend”, which means that I sense you cheering me on in my growth and understanding of the great love that our Father and Jesus Christ has for all of us.  And it is such a pleasure to share with you all that The Scriptures teach me as I seek to know my Lord more fully!

In the finished work of the cross, Jesus saved all mankind in the Father’s eyes. (Sozo – saved, John 3:17, For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.(KJV))  Sozo, Greek word, means made safe and sound, preserved, protected, healed and made whole.  This is important for the foundation of Christianity is based on what Christ did for us on the cross and when He rose on High.  When we accept Jesus Christ as the Son of the Living God and ask Him to be our Lord by giving our lives to Him; then He brings us to a place of being in His image before His Father, as if we have never sinned.

“Colossians 1: 12,13, Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:  Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the Kingdom of His Dear Son.”

These words are written in past tense; it is accomplished in Father’s eyes and His opinion of us is the only one that matters.

” Colossians 1: 18-23, And He (Jesus Christ) is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the preeminence.  For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself; by Him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.  And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath He reconciled In the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in His sight: If ye continue in the faith (remember this word faith) grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister.”

It appears to me from scripture, that this is a finished work, already accomplished and we are whole before the Father in holiness and righteousness because of Jesus Christ.  Did not the angels themselves burst forth from the heavens, at the birth of Jesus declaring,  Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men!!?

The Gospel is truly the Good News!  Jesus preached the truth of The Kingdom of God being near and here.  Then He went about healing the sick.  He did not teach a prayer to go to heaven but presented His Father’s great love to mankind by coming Himself from His Father.  Our Living God came to us in the flesh of mankind.  He did not teach that mankind are saved sinners.  He taught that our sins were forgiven and removed and that because of Him, we are presented before The Father cleansed and holy.  He brought us back to where we were originally created to be all along, as if we have never sinned.  This is a new covenant that was made for us on account of Jesus Christ and all that He accomplished, in complete obedience to Our Father.  You see, we cannot make ourselves righteous by our own works.  We can all quote that these are just filthy rags to The Father, plus try as we may, we always fail to walk and live perfectly.  But our righteousness comes from Jesus Christ alone and we receive this by faith when we look to Jesus on the cross and in His resurrection.

Again, I say the Gospel is truly very Good News!  As His children, we have now come forth from our Father in Heaven!  His laws are written on our hearts and in our minds!

“Hebrews 10: 14, For by one offering He hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.”
“Hebrews 8: 10, For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith The Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts:  and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people.”

This is why we can come before the throne of mercy and into our Holy Father’s presence, because we are holy.  We are pure.  You and I are His daughters.  Simple and to the point.  Our job is to believe what His Word says about us and to rest in this Truth.  Jesus Christ is The Truth about who we are in Him.  And we receive the truth about how He sees us by simple, childlike faith.  Wow, we can do this!  And what is even more amazing is that Our Father enjoys us coming to Him, in praise and worship, in tears and anguish, in quietness, in dancing,  and even when we have missed the mark.  His arms are always open to receive us in love and in His pleasure.  Our Father sees us as the  children He created us to be.  The way that He always intended us to be when he formed us in His mind and heart before the foundation of the world.  This covenant truly is a new and abundant life as we walk as new creatures with Him.

There is so much more to say but I shall end this letter with the understanding that the Gospel is as simple as what we believe, we experience.  My next letter will explain why it is so important to see ourselves through our Father’s eyes.

Much love and blessings be upon you dear friend,

Your friend in Christ
